Today, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Salem bin Brik, visited the headquarters of the Yemeni Economic Corporation, and met with its Director General, Brigadier General Sami Al-Saeedi, to discuss the financial situation of the Corporation.
The meeting, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hadhramaut Governorate, Saleh Al-Amqi, and the Undersecretary of the Governorate for Technical Affairs, Eng. Amin Baraziq, touched on what the Economic Corporation provides to the regions and military units in terms of providing military supplies, to conduct its military tasks, and in a way that enables it to confront the Houthi tide, cut off its expansion, and restore The state and ending the coup, as well as what the economic institution is doing in implementing the tasks entrusted to it by the political leadership represented by His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, and discussing the possibility of strengthening the financial aspects of the institution in order to enable it to increase support for all military sectors.
The Minister of Finance was briefed on the progress of works and recent equipment in the building of the trade fair project of the economic institution, which consists of 4 floors, distributed among the sectors of the institution according to need, the catering sector for direct sale to citizens and furniture, the Compute Me sector for appliances and electronics, and commercial showrooms, and he also got acquainted with the recent developments. In the institution's building, which is the expansion of the main building, to accommodate all public administration employees.
Minister Bin Brik praised the efforts made by the leadership of the economic institution, and its pivotal role in supporting the armed forces and providing them with their basic requirements, in addition to its efforts in organizing Ramadan exhibitions to help citizens provide their requirements at reasonable prices. The minister also expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Finance to support the economic institution in its future plan. The economic balance between the private and public sectors.
